Teen Yoga for Exams

Achieving the GSCE and A-Levels results you want does not only depend on how much knowledge you accumulate on a subject, but how you manage the anxiety and stress that normally arises when you are put to the test.

One of the main issues many young people face, is staying focused on studying. With so much going on for your age, in your bodies and on social media, it is hard to remain on track.

Yoga creates a peaceful state of mind, which gives one the opportunity to learn about disciplining the mind and the body, and these can support you not only through exams but through these tough years ahead.

This workshop is for those students in Year 10 and above that wish to learn tools which are proven to help create a calm state of mind. A sequence of yoga postures will be taught to help ease off pain and fatigue around the shoulders and hips. You will also learn breathing techniques that may relieve anxiety and reduce insomnia. One guided visualisation will be taught so you can repeat it at home to clear your mind whilst another visualisation will aid you on exam days.

No previous Yoga experience is necessary; just come in comfortable clothing . Please bring water, a note pad and a pen/ pencil
